Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls, icing reserved
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk alternative
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Start by heating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  • Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Open the cans of cinnamon rolls. Separate the rolls and cut each one into quarters. Spread the cut pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • Mix the Custard: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream (or milk alternative), vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well blended. Pour this mixture evenly over the cut cinnamon rolls in the baking dish.
  • Add Maple Syrup: Drizzle the maple syrup evenly over the top of the casserole.
  • Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown and set in the center.
  • Final Touches: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool slightly. While it's cooling, warm the reserved icing from the cinnamon roll cans in the microwave for a few seconds until it's pourable but not too runny. Drizzle the icing over the top of the warm casserole.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Cut into squares, serve warm, and watch it disappear!
